CBS News gives a rare look at a Taliban attack on a US military ...

The attack happened 2 months ago by a Taliban subgroup called the Haqqani Network and cost the lives of 2 Americans and seriously injured 25 more, enough to warrant an evacuation of the military base. The attack was repelled and all of the Taliban were killed.

The Taliban planned everything from within a safe haven in Pakistan and according to US Officials, they are supported by Pakistani Intelligence. This is something that very much concerns David Petraeus who is asking Pakistan to crack down on these safe havens.

This report gives us a deeper look at what our troops have to deal with and sacrifice for us by putting themselves in harm?s way.
